The sum
Grading pays when the slab sells for more than everything it took to get there: the raw (ungraded) card you give up, the grading fee, postage both ways, and the marketplace’s cut when it sells. The sale price, the grading level and the selling fee all move with the grade it comes back at, so the answer is one line per grade. SlabScore never picks the grade; you read the line for the grade you expect.
What grading leaves you = the slab’s sold price − the raw Near Mint price − grading and postage − the selling fee
Postage is $35.00 both ways and the selling fee 13% of the sale — SlabScore’s defaults, which you can change once signed in. What you paid for the card is not in the sum: it is spent whether you grade or not.

- Every PSA grade from 1 to 8.5 comes to less than selling the card raw. The 9 and the 10 come to more.
- A PSA 7.5 of this card sells for less than a PSA 7, and a PSA 8.5 for less than a PSA 8. That is the market as recorded, shown as it is.
- PSA’s cheaper Value (1980-Present) level covers every grade up to the 9 and is paused. At that level the 8 would come to +$8.89 and the 9 to +$132.19. Today’s price for every level: PSA’s grading levels.
- The level changes with the grade because PSA insures up to a ceiling per level, and what you declare is what the slab would sell for. The PSA 10’s market is over what Standard insures.
- SlabScore’s Grading Outlook for the PSA 10: 86 — GRADE, on 121.8 PSA sales a month across every grade of this printing.

What this does not include
- How likely any grade is. SlabScore does not estimate it. A company’s population report counts what it has already graded; it says nothing about your card.
- Today’s prices. Both cards are recordings, dated. A card you add in the app is priced on the day.
- Japanese printings. They are separate cards with markets of their own; both cards here are English printings.
