What is a Pristine 10?
A label word that means a different 10 at two companies: Beckett’s plain 10, and CGC’s 10 with every subgrade perfect.
What it means
On a CGC slab, Pristine marks a 10 whose every subgrade is also perfect — a label above CGC’s plain 10.
On a Beckett slab, Pristine is the word for the plain 10, and the all-perfect 10 is the Black Label.
In SlabScore
- SlabScore calls the all-perfect 10 Pristine at CGC and Black Label at BGS, and prices each as its own market, never as the plain 10.
- A sold listing is read as all-perfect only when it names that company’s own word, so a BGS 10 titled Pristine counts as a plain BGS 10.
- PSA, TAG and ACE have no such word here: their all-perfect grade is called perfect rather than borrow another company’s name.
Your collection opens each card’s Grading Outlook, whose grade picker offers the all-perfect 10 beside the plain one wherever both have sold.
