What is a half grade?
A grade between two whole numbers, such as an 8.5 — and not every company gives a 9.5.
What it means
Grading companies grade a card from 1 to 10. A half grade sits between two whole ones: an 8.5 is better than an 8 and not quite a 9.
PSA and TAG give no 9.5, so on their scales the grade under a 10 is a 9.

- Every grade picker offers every grade the company issues, whether or not one has sold yet.
- A grade a company does not issue is never offered for it, and a grade with no sale shows as a dash, never as zero.
