What is a reholder?

A new case for a card that is already graded: the same grade in a fresh slab, with no re-grade.

What it means

A slab that is scratched or cracked can be re-cased by the company that graded it.

The grade on the label stays the same, and the card is not graded again.

In SlabScore

  • A reholder returns no new grade, so it can never answer whether grading a card pays: SlabScore keeps it on record and never picks it as a tier.
  • PSA lists one as a service of its own.

Compare graders sets the grading tiers of all five companies side by side.

Where it is listed
